Al Ain Wild life Park & Resort
The 900 hectares Al Ain Zoo & Aquarium was opened in 1969, has one of the largest animal collections comprising of both local and exotic animals. It is popular not only within the borders of but outside them as well in this short time. Over the past year, Al Ain Zoo has been undergoing transformations into a 21st Century attraction that not only addresses wildlife conservation but also supports Abu Dhabi's environmental education efforts and its future tourism aspirations.
The park is home to some of the most endangered species in the world such as the Arabian Oryx, now extinct in the wild, and the Arabian leopard. The largest area in the zoo is reserved for Arabian antelope and deer. Extensive tree shaded paddocks offers good breeding conditions for a wide variety of African antelope such as oryx , eland , gazzelle and lechwe. Also, there are many kinds of animals from all over the world. Al Ain Zoo is located in the foothills of the Jebel Hafeet Mountains in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Website: www.awpr.ae
