Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE

       The Abu Dhabi International Airport is the second largest airport in the UAE. The airport which has got an award winning passenger-centric facility and it offers travelers quick service with maximum comfort and round-the-clock support to enhance their travel experience. Abu Dhabi city is just a 40 minute drive away from the airport. The airport is situated 20 miles east of Abu Dhabi.

Terminal Information: Abu Dhabi International Airport has got three terminals. Terminal 3 is dedicated to Etihad Airways (national flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates) departures and arrivals while Terminals 1 and 2 are used by all other airlines.
 

Bus Services: A complimentary shuttle service is available between the terminals in the Abu Dhabi Airport every 15 minutes. Getting the air conditioned bus to and from the airport and Abu Dhabi city is economical. These green and white buses with number 901 run from the three terminals and stops at all legal bus stops going into the city. It passes by the Bus Stand at Muroor and Street 11 and terminates at the Old Fish Market on Al Nasr Street (near NYU Abu Dhabi). It operates every 40 minutes, 24 hours a day and travel time to the city is approximately 75 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxi Services: There are two types of taxis available at Abu Dhabi Airport; Metered Taxis and Limousines. Limousine Taxi is available 24-hours daily, outside the arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2. Etihad Airways offers a premium limousine service for its Diamond First Class and Pearl Business Class passengers. The Etihad Chauffeur Desk and Lounge is conveniently located within the Arrivals ‘meet and greet’ area at the airport.

Car Parking: A full range of convenient parking services and facilities to meet the needs of the visitors and passengers are offered at the airport. The ultra modern, multi-storied car park called Skypark is available to be conveniently used by both Terminals 1 and 3 users. Covered, temperature controlled parking bays and air conditioned pedestrian walkways to both terminals are a must during the summer months. The valet parking service is available at the Departure curbside next to Terminals 1 and 3. The airport has convenient short stay, long stay car parking options conveniently located from the terminals.

Car Hire: International car rental companies and various other local car hire operators have their offices in the Abu Dhabi Airport. All car rental offices are open 24 hours a day and they are located in Skypark parking, opposite Terminal 3, just a short walk from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

Lounges: Airport Hotel Lounge is located in T1 transit, on the right side just after the Departure Immigration Hall and operates 24 hours.

Al Reem, Al Dhabi and Al Dana Lounges are located in Terminal 1. You can access the Lounges for few hours on the spot payment and admission is granted on a first come, first served basis.

Etihad Diamond First Class Lounges are located in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and operated 24 hours. If you are flying Etihad Diamond First Class, you will receive your lounge invitation upon check-in. No bookings are necessary.

Al Ghazal Lounge is located in Terminal 2 and the lounge facilities can be used by any passenger for an on the spot payment which is valid for four hours. If you are a Priority Pass, Airport Angel or Veloce Logistics guest, you will have complimentary access in line with your programme entitlements.

Etihad Pearl Business Class Lounge sets the tone for your luxurious flight ahead and located in Terminal 3. If you are flying Etihad Pearl Business Class, you will get your lounge invitation upon check-in. No bookings are necessary.

Al Dar Lounge is a VIP Lounge which is located in T1 and operates 24 hours / 7 days a week. Passengers of any airline and/or class of travel may book this lounge online.
 

Food and Beverage: A host of international catering facilities are available to passengers in all the three terminals in the Abu Dhabi Airport. The passengers are spoilt with a wide choice of snacks, sandwiches, and hot and cold drinks offered by world renowned food brands.

Shopping: Abu Dhabi International Airport offers excellent shopping and dining options before and after passport control. A 24 hours retail service is run by the ADDF in all terminals of the airport. The Duty Free shopping (DFS)  at Terminal 3 includes a wide range of luxury outlets with the most sought after brands, newly created, exclusive and limited edition products. DFS offers the utmost luxury shopping experience  with numerous international fashion brands such as Denfi, Dunhill, Prevage etc. for the transient passengers.
 

Business Services: Airport Services Centre equipped with fax and copying machines is located in the Terminal 1 Departures area. The centre has a convenient safety deposit and left luggage service. The entire airport lounges in Terminals 1, 2 and 3 offer WiFi connectivity or internet connections.

Spa: The world-renowned Six Senses Spa is located in the Etihad Diamond First and Pearl Business Class lounges. A range of calming, luxurious spa treatments are offered by the Spa at the Abu Dhabi Airport and it has got 15-minute treatments which include facials to restore your skin’s natural glow, eye treatments and hand, foot, back, neck and shoulder massages.

Medical Care: A 24-hour Medical Services Clinic is located in T1 transit near the Immigration Arrival Hall. Passengers in T2 or T3 who require medical assistance can contact the T1 clinic, which operates 24 hours. In case of emergencies, Abu Dhabi International Airport is supported by a local hospital and an ambulance is always available on call. Various branches of local and international pharmacies located at each of the three terminals.

Money and Banking: Several local banks provide forex services at reasonable rates. National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) operates in Terminals 1 and 2. The Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is located near the car rentals in the Terminal 1 car parking area.

Automated Teller Machines (ATM): Various international and local banks offering ATMs for cash withdrawals, transfers and deposits, as well as some branches which provide transactional support for all the banking needs.

Money Exchanges: There are plenty of foreign currency exchange options available at the Abu Dhabi Airport including Travelex and all major currencies are accepted.

Communication & Internet Services: Communication services such as free wireless internet (WiFi) connection,  telephone, fax machines are available for passengers at the various lounges and the Airport Hotel Lounge. There are around 50 internet kiosks conveniently located in the Departure areas of all three airport terminals. Phone cards can be purchased from any of the newsagents or book stores and Etisalat phone booths are available in all the terminals.

Postal Services: There are postal and courier service outlets conveniently located in the terminals

Facilities for disabled persons: Abu Dhabi International Airport provides assistance to disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility for arrival, departure and transit.

Airport Hotel: The airport hotel with a business centre, a health club with gymnasium, Jacuzzi, sauna and a children's play area is located in T1 transit, on the right side just after the Departure Immigration Hall. The comfortable standard rooms in the Abu Dhabi Airport Hotel offer twin or double beds. Each room is equipped with its own flat screen TV and a range of satellite channels. Interconnecting rooms are also available. Shower facility can be availed by transiting passengers at the Airport Hotel for a fee. The Airport Hotel is wheelchair accessible.
Other Services: A fitness centre is located within the Airport Hotel and it is available for guests of the hotel. Non-hotel guests can use the facility at an hourly charge.

Smoking Area: Abu Dhabi International Airport terminals are non-smoking buildings. Enclosed smoking lounges and booths are located in each of the terminals
